360 Degree Virtual Visit

Nov 6, 2017 | Beach

We recently partnered with the Port of Seattle to bring you this 360-degree experience. This is the first installment of a three-part 360 video series. Here are some tips to help you enjoy it!

Before you do anything else…

Make sure you turn up the video quality! YouTube automatically sets the quality based on your internet speed. It may take a little extra time to load, but it’s worth the wait. For best results, set to at least 1080s HD.

Wear Headphones

Our 360 videos include spatial audio. That means the sound will adjust depending on where you look. To take advantage of this feature, plug in your headphones!

Try this: Look towards the horses as they walk across the screen and then look away. Notice how the sound changes to make it sound like the horses are behind you.

Mobile

Your mobile phone is your best viewing option. You can use your finger to toggle the video, or you can simply move your phone in the direction you want to look.

Don’t be shy! Try it out. If someone asks what you’re doing, just say you’re at the beach.

Desktop

Use your mouse or the directional arrows to look around. It’s as simple as that. Try it on full screen to make it more fun.

Google Cardboard

You don’t have to have a VR headset to enjoy a 360 video, but if you want to be more immersed in your virtual visit, Google has an affordable option. Google Cardboard is only $15, and it’s easy to use. Plus, the cardboard makes it possible to customize if you’re feeling crafty.

If you love the 360 experience, subscribe to our new YouTube channel and follow us on Facebook! We will be sharing more 360 content from around Pacific County, WA.
