“Dining to Make a Difference” will benefit local Boys & Girls Club
LONG BEACH PENINSULA, Wash. – November 28, 2018 – Favorite restaurants in Long Beach, Ilwaco and Seaview once again will be participating in Dining to Make a Difference. During Restaurant Month 2019 on Washington’s Long Beach Peninsula, participating eateries will offer 3-for-$33 dinners, Sundays through Thursdays, throughout January. The promotion will benefit the local Boys and Girls Club.
“Diners who mention the promotion will enjoy a three-course meal at a great value while supporting local youth programs and can up their contribution by staying at participating lodging partners,” said Andi Day, executive director, Long Beach Peninsula Visitors Bureau. “Not only are diners in for a warm and cozy experience, our fabulous local chefs really get to show their stuff during the quieter season.”
One such chef, Michael Lalewicz at The Depot Restaurant in Seaview shared his $33 Dining to Make a Difference menu. It starts with Artichoke Frito as an appetizer, with a choice of Cinghiale Brasato, Clam Bucatini, or Gnocchi Pomodoro for an entrée, capped off with House-made Sorbet Duo or Salted Caramel Brownie à la Mode for dessert.
Restaurants participating in Dining to Make a Difference are 42nd Street Café & Bistro, Galletti’s Spaghetti House, Lost Roo, Pickled Fish, the Pub at Shelburne Hotel, Salt Pub & Grub, and The Depot Restaurant. Participating lodging includes Adrift Hotel, Enchanted Cottages, Inn at Discovery Coast, Salt Hotel, and Shelburne Hotel.
The restaurants and hotels have pledged 10% of proceeds to the Boys & Girls Club when participants mention the promo code DMD2019 when dining or making a lodging reservation.
The birthplace of Pacific Northwest cuisine, the Long Beach Peninsula has a stellar reputation for great dining. Sought-out eateries celebrate local seafood from the Pacific Ocean, Willapa Bay and the Columbia River basin, as well as foraged foods and produce, meats and dairy from nearby small farms and family-run ranches. Ultra-fresh salmon, briny oysters, succulent Dungeness crab are among the choice offerings.
The Boys & Girls Club of the Long Beach Peninsula provides a safe place for children to have fun, get a hot meal, be creative, be part of a team, get help with homework, and gather with friends. It is an important support organization for many of the area’s visitor industry workers.
